The trailer for Fountain of Youth has dropped, and excitement is building as the film is set to hit theaters on May 23. Featuring John Krasinski, Natalie Portman, Eiza González, and Domhnall Gleeson, this Guy Ritchie-directed movie promises an epic adventure. The story follows two estranged siblings (played by Krasinski and Portman) who reunite in search of the mythical Fountain of Youth, embarking on a thrilling treasure hunt.

At the time of writing, the Fountain of Youth trailer is trending at #24 on YouTube, and it’s evident from the reactions that it’s quickly becoming one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year. Some fans are even urging Apple TV to release it in theaters.

“Man, we really needed more treasure-hunting films, thank goodness,” “This feels more like an Uncharted movie than the actual Uncharted movie,” and “Finally, a true adventure movie! The last one I really enjoyed was The Mummy Returns in the early 2000s. Here’s hoping this one delivers,” were just a few of the excited comments from viewers

González has had an impressive career trajectory, with back-to-back projects in recent years. After wrapping up Ash alongside Aaron Paul, this film marked a dream-come-true moment for her, as she had the opportunity to collaborate with her “role model,” Portman.

In her March cover story for Flaunt, González revealed that she was overcome with emotion when she first saw their names together on the poster. “When I saw the poster with my name next to hers, I had a real moment—I actually cried,” she shared with the magazine.

González credited Portman as the reason she pursued acting in the first place. “I wanted to be an actress because of Natalie Portman,” she said. “She was the one—I looked up to her as my role model. It still brings tears to my eyes when I think about it.” Despite all the accomplishments she’s achieved in her career, González admitted, “It still feels so surreal.”

The admiration is mutual between the two, and Portman has even suggested González for the role of Evelyn Hugo in the Netflix adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. The book follows a legendary Old Hollywood actress who grants a final interview to an unknown journalist.

González, who starred in Ambulance, told E! News that she would be thrilled to take on the role, calling it an incredible honor. She recalled a moment on set when Portman said, “I just can’t imagine anyone else playing Evelyn Hugo.” For the 35-year-old actress, it was another unforgettable moment. “I was like, ‘Natalie Portman is saying that to me! That’s insane.’”

She was quick to clarify that nothing is confirmed or even being talked about yet. “I’m not sure if I’ll ever get the role. I don’t even know what’s going on with that project,” she explained.

Fountain of Youth will be available to stream on Apple TV starting May 23.
